I have been playing with the opal technique again  actually I have been doing experiments with different glitter, colors and shapes, but I haven't had the time to photograph them. I tried to perfect the technique to do black opals, and I'm really  happy with the results! I hate to say "it looks better in person, the photography doesn't do it justice" because it sounds like an excuse... buuut it's true  the white and black opals are super colorful and shiny, but somehow the black shows the colors a lot better and brighter, the white is a lot more subtle and elegant. Both are equally beautiful and I can't make up my mind for any of them.

I imagine making them slightly bigger and hang them from my Christmas tree, I bet they must look awesome under the lights :D I think I'll have to do that this year.

I made these as pendants and they were sold on Etsy. You can get your own right here in any color, if you want a different shape ask me about it :) if you want to make your own, I also sell the tutorial for it: fav.me/d560g66 (although I have to warn you, I'm working on a new version of the tutorial which will be extended to include more information, colors and techniques, but it will also be more expensive).

Custom commissions are always open! But delivery before Christmas is not available unless you're willing to pay for express shipping, sorry :(

Technical stuff: Handmade by me with polymer clay without the use of molds or premades. The organza necklace was also handmade by me, I decided to start making my own necklaces :)
