I made this cake for a commission, I was asked to do a cake like this one [link] but it didn't turn out like I was expecting. So I made it again, I sent my commissioner the second one but I was left with this one. At first I hated it because it didn't turn like I wanted and I can be very obsessive about it, but when I started seeing it as "a cake" and not "the cake" I imagined, I started liking it again. So since I have nothing to do with it, I thought it would be good to give it away :)

Materials: Polymer clay, acrylic paints, metal findings.

The focused picture makes it desirable.

This reminds me of one of my favorite treats. Its coated in a crisp chocolate and inside is all chocolate mousse its like a gigantic bon bon in shape and probably has 12,000 calories but oh my goodness...drool.

Yours looks like you could bite into it but I know somewhere in the back of my mind that if I did, I would have a chipped tooth. ;)

That sounds delicious  it may kill me, but it would be worth it!

:giggle: that would probably happen, but I'm glad that they still make you feel that way :D

The icing is so smooth. My icing turns out swirly and sticky, even when I make real life cakes. :) Must be something I'm doing wrong or maybe I should add more liquid sculpy...do you think that would help?

Thansk! :D Actually when doing polymer clay I find that a thicker frosting helps, if it's too runny it will fall down the sides of your work. I make mine slightly thicker so that I can shape it and it keeps the shape.
