It's been three years since I made my first mini cookies, and I've been using them as my avatar since. I used to be so proud of that little cookie, but now it looks silly and sort of cartoonish. I don't know why I didn't make them again until now, but I'm glad to see improvement :XD:

I took these photos for size reference, but I noticed that I took almost the same photo both times without planning it! It was a lovely coincidence so I put them side by side to compare. I also noticed that the light I was using back then was too yellow Oo

I've received some messages from people complaining that their work is not good enough and asking me what they can do to improve, so this is for you. I didn't get where I am overnight, and I keep trying to improve every day. I hope you see this as encouraging :dummy:

Talty, where do you get the cute little bottles?

P.S. you've been an inspiration to me since I joined deviant art.
I've been on and off with my clay for a couple years because I had two babies within that amount of time so my attention is elsewhere and I work on my clay when I have a spare guilt free minute, which I don't have many of those these days.

I really really want to keep going with this because it brings me relaxation and I hope to fill my etsy store with cute things one day. Yes I have one, but I'm too shy to fill it just yet. :)

I bought the bottles in my local craft store, but there's a lot of them in Etsy or Ebay.

And thank you it's incredible to know I can actually inspire someone :) congratulations for having two babies! :heart: I imagine that they mustn't leave you much time to do some clay, but nothing is comparable to the thrill of having kids.

I'm sure you'll find the time as they grow older and learn a routine, it's a great hobby and I'm glad to read that you're enjoying it too! :la.

I found two on ebay yesterday. I thought I was buying 10 lol but it was 2. I guess the 10 was one of the measurements, next time I'll read the description better.
Thank you, I have a two year old boy and a 10 month old little girl. I also have a 7,10 and 16 year old boys as well. Nope, not much time for the clay so progress is slower than molasses but when I get a chance to do work on it, it becomes a mental vacation. ;) My 10 year old son is very artsy and enjoys deviant art as well. I will probably make a folder for my children's art. I've seen that people do that. I'm one of these moms that keeps all the projects from school, even when they're falling apart.
