This was a commission, I was asked to do a key lime pie set of stud earrings and a pendant. My commissioner told me that she wanted them for her sister who loves the color green :) she wanted the pies with a white filling, a bright green layer and a dollop of whipped cream with a slice of lime. And every time I try to say "slice of lime" I end up saying "slime" to my boyfriend's amusement.

I'm quite happy with how they turned out, I tried a different technique for the crust this time because I wanted to make it more realistic. The earrings are super adorable, they're a bit thin because I wanted to make sure that they rest flat against the earlobe. Also this was the first time I used my hypoallergenic earrings, so I was extra happy XD

Technical stuff: All handmade by me out of polymer clay, no molds, bought items or mass produced items were used. Glaze, glue, pastel dust and metal findings were also used. The earrings are hypoallergenic titanium stud earrings. The pendant is about 2cm~0.8 inch long, the earrings are 0.9cm~.3 inch.

 Unfortunately I can relate completely - I'm seeing Sculpey, and ideas of what to make with it, every time I shut my eyes :reading:

((Wow. Just wondering, but how did you get the texture on the pie filling? And how did you get the lime so...realistic?))

Thanks! For the pie filling I poked some holes carefully with a needle to make it look spongy. And the lime well it's about getting the perfect translucent green, I had to mix several batches until I got it right! :D
