This is my newest cat, Buba!
Buba has been with us for a month now, and I'm so happy my mom found her! She's the sweetest little girl, she loves to cuddle and she has the sweetest purr, so when I'm watching tv she will sit in my lap and purr until I fall asleep. I've missed so many of my favorite shows because of her xD
As all my cats, Buba has a sad history (my mom did an awesome detective work finding out what happened). We found Buba extremely thin, I think that's the thinnest I've seen any cat, with a small scratch in her nose, a really big injury in her shoulder (that's now healed) and calling her kitties. Apparently, a "veterinary" found her when she just had her kitties, locked her away in a tiny room until the babies were big enough, and later tossed her to the streets and sold her kitties. And he took the kitties too soon too, so my little Buba was at risk of developing an infection, which luckily didn't happen but had us nervous.
THAT MADE ME SO ANGRY. So the lesson is:
1. Don't buy pets, adopt and rescue. People do very mean things to animals when instead of seeing a little life, they see $$$ signs.
2. Find yourself a real veterinary (not a bastard like that guy).
When my dad saw her, he said "Well now you have to bring us good luck!". We don't believe in good luck, he was just saying it... but a couple of days later he got a job promotion, and a week later something awesome happened to us xD so now we like to think that she's our little lucky charm.
Actually her full name is Ceres Bubastis Cleopatra, we wanted a name with a meaning:
Ceres - After the Greek goddess of family and agriculture. Because she was a great mother to her kitties, and we wanted something that meant abundance and good luck.
Bubastis - After the Egyptian cat-goddess Bastet, protector of the home and symbol of the happiness in life. It was just perfect for her.
Cleopatra - Because we were already into Egyptian names and she has a pointy nose, sleek black hair and a regal look, so it was fitting.
I love her name so much xD and I also love to call her Buba
