Polymer Clay Coffee Lovers Set by Talty Polymer Clay Coffee Lovers Set by Talty
| Etsy | Custom Commissions | YouTube | Polymer Clay Gallery |

I love this set, I hate these photos.

I made this back in November for my friend's birthday . We share a big addiction love for coffee, so I thought she would like this :D I painted a tiny bunny in the cup because that's her nickname. Her favorite color is purple so I painted highlights in purple, and some really tiny flowers in the saucer. It's all very small! :la: The flowers next to the bunny are nail decorations I thought would look cute next to the bunny.

(My friend's YouTube channel: [link] )

After at least a year of trying different techniques, I finally made a cup I like! :la: I didn't want to make a simplified cup, I wanted to make it very realistic and complicated because I'm that stupid. After a year of trying, lots of wasted clay, burns and cuts, this was finally born xD (and yes, I will make a tutorial). The saucer is actually really easy, I used the same technique that I use for my plate tutorial just smaller and with a different shape: [link]

I painted the TLS with oil paints to make the coffee, and it puffed! Silly thing :shakefist: I wasn't expecting it at all, I thought that only happened with acrylic paints because the water in the acrylics bubbles, but why did it happen with oils? T_T well that's something to keep in mind next time. Learn from my mistakes, kiddos! I'm quite proud of those coffee beans :la: I love how the texture turned out, I can almost smell the coffee :D

Of course I forgot to take reference photos, but the coffee beans are in real scale so you can get an idea of the size of the cup, almost as small as a coffee bean. The bunny is quite small, about 4-5mm. I took the two photos with the cup in a rush and I regret it, I almost didn't publish this because I think they're terrible... but on the other hand I love the cup and the coffee beans and I wanted to share them. I took the last photo calmly and you can tell the difference, so again, learn from my mistakes kiddos! Be patient when you take photos and make sure you get enough light!

Suggestions and comments are always much appreciated :blowkiss: Also don't forget that I'm accepting commissions, you can order any of these! :la: Earrings are $7, the cup is a LOT more complicated so it's $20. Set is $25.

Materials: Polymer clay, metal findings, acrylic paints.

Try adding some dark shade in the middle of the beads, it will make them look super realistic. :)
Something like this, but mine are a little bit clumsy [link]

That is awesome! I love the coffee beans! Wish I could actually wear the earrings (allergic to most metals :( unless it's plastic, gold or surgical steel).

It's silver plated, I have some earrings from the same material that I've been using for two years and they didn't go rusty. I also have stainless stud earrings, and they aren't rusty either.

Silver works good, sadly silver tarnishes easily but it can be polished quickly. I use silver platted because they're a lot cheaper.

Stainless steel works great and it doesn't rust, but if you can find it, prefer surgical steel. So I would recommend you to use pure silver, silver plated, stainless steel or surgical steel :D

Don't worry I love to help, so I really don't mind :)

There's a lot of stores that sell them in etsy, look for them as "stud earrings" or "silver plated stud earrings" and you'll find many. I bought a big stock long ago from an Etsy store, but sadly the store closed so I can't tell you where I got them :(

I also buy them locally every once in a while, maybe you can find a store close to you that sells them?
