Polymer Clay Miniature Apple Pie Ring

This was a birthday present for my sister, since she was little she has been obsessed with pie... she asks daily if I can bake or buy her pie, when we were little she used to ask for pie in her Christmas letter to Santa, and then she would ask for pie in mine too so for her birthday I made her an apple pie as a ring, and for the first time in a while I went by a few days without receiving a request for pie XD

When I was making the pie I remembered that *fairchildart had a wonderful apple pie tutorial and I used her ideas for the apple slices, but I made the rest more similar to how a real pie is made. I love the way the slices peek through the crust, but I think I would have liked to make the crust a bit more open to show the slices better. Next time I think I also want to try making a border to give it a neater finish. I liked it a lot and my sister liked it even more, so I'm very happy

<sub>Este fue un regalo de cumpleaños para mi hermana, desde que era pequeña está obsesionada con el pay... diario me pide que le haga le compre pay, cuando eramos pequeñas ella solía pedirle pay a Santa y luego escribía que quería pay también en mi carta para su cumpleaños le hice un pie de manazana de anillo, y por la primera vez en mucho tiempo pasaron varios días sin que me pidieran pay XD

Cuando hacía este pay me acordé que *fairchildart tiene un maravilloso tutorial de pay y usé sus ideas para hacer las rebanaditas de manazana, aunque el resto lo hice más similar a como se hace un pay de verdad. Me encanta la forma en la que las rebanadas se asoman por la corteza, aunque la próxima vez me gustaría hacer el enrejado más abierto para que se vean mejor. También quiero hacer un borde la próxima vez. Me gustó mucho el resultado y a mi hermana le gustó todavía más, así que soy muy feliz</sub>

Technical stuff: All handmade with polymer clay, no molds or premades were used everything was made by me. Pastel dust and glaze were used for the toasty look and shiny wet finish. The ring is adjustable and bought. Photographed on my left index finger.
