This was a commission for ~FalconFossi and it was really fun and stressing at the same time :XD: (you can read her comment about it here [link]) fish is difficult for me and I wanted it to be perfect. She told me that sashimi was her favorite food and wanted me to make a tray with fish and a dragon roll if I could fit it somewhere, but she also left me a lot of creativity freedom to decide what to include and how to organize everything (yay, fun!). Veggies, rice and ginger was okay but no wasabi. She kinda dared me to make the shiny metallic skin of mackerel and I love how it turned out. Salmon and tuna were also in her list of favorites and I thought the colors would work great.

She sent me a lot of references for the plate but I decided to go with this one: [link] I've never made a tray before so I had to figure out a way to make the shape. I took tips from this tutorial by ~lava-tomato when I made the salmon but I think I can still improve. The salmon and mackerel were made using my own technique. The roll was constructed using a similar technique than what's shown on this tutorial by *chat-noir except that with a smaller scale, and the avocado is a simple skinner blend. The cucumber, lemon and raddish/fish cake are canes I made using my own techniques.

She wanted to make a bracelet out of this so she asked me to make holes on the tray, I hope that she'll post photos of the bracelet when it's finished so feel free to check :devfalcon-fossi: out. I was also asked to make everything relatively flat because she was afraid that with her active life-style anything would get caught, so on the second photo you can see that nothing protrudes too much. This took a lot of love, research, time and work, but this is just the type of work I love to do

Technical stuff: All handmade by me with polymer clay without the use of molds, bought pieces or pre-mades. Acrylic paints were used for the black border on the tray, silver mica for the skin of the mackerel and glaze to make the plate look porcelanized and the fish and fruit look moist. The plate is 2.5 cm - 1 inch long, so everything is really small but I don't think you can take that from the photo XD
