Yup, I'm already doing Christmas stuff! It's so weird... so very weird... this was a commission for one of my sister's friends who wanted earrings for her girlfriend, she sent me an image of a cute penguin with a hat [link] and asked me to make them in earring form, this is what I did :meow: I was told that both of them really liked them, so I'm really happy about it :D I'm slowly trying to get more comfortable with doing animals and eventually I want to try making people, but looks like I'm finally learning to do something other than food XD

The photo was a horrible nightmare to take, I had to take the photo at 3 am (yes, had to, but I don't remember why I had to) with a precarious setting, but it's still decent given the circumstances XD it feels "colder" than the photos I take with natural light, but I suppose that contributes to the Christmas feel.

So if anyone wants anything for Christmas get them asap! I cannot guarantee shipping for anything ordered after October, last year the shipping was extremely slow and some of the things I sent in the first days of November didn't arrive until January :noes: luckily my buyers were very understanding

Technical stuff: All handmade by me with polymer clay, no molds, premades or bought pieces were used. The eyes were painted with acrylic paints. These are stud earrings, you can't see the studs but the penguins are glued to them. The penny stand was made by my boyfriend using his own technique, but *christopher-blake made a tutorial for it: [link]

There's actually a funny history related to the penny stand. Months ago I saw the penny stand *christopher-blake made and I thought it was a brilliant idea, but I couldn't figure how to make my own. My boyfriend saw me stressing over it and asked me if he could help, I showed him photos of the penny stand and he said he had an idea how to make it, and asked me to give him some wire and a couple of tools. I went to the bathroom and no more than 5 minutes later when I came out he had already made the stand. I spent hours thinking about it and he could do it in five minutes :stare: turns out it was very easy but I was over-complicating it, but I'm lucky that I had him there to help me XD
