This was one of those touching commissions that I'm honored to receive. The girl that commissioned these earrings told me that the originals were a gift from her grandmother, but sadly she missed one. She sent me the photo of the remaining earring and I made my very best to reproduce them as accurately as possible, and this was the result
it's a very funny design, I worked on the curls a lot because I wanted them to be perfect! You can't really tell, but the earrings are quite small (less than 2 cm tall if I remember correctly). I cut the shapes by hand really carefully so that they're perfect, I didn't use a cutter or mold for anything. I sanded them at the end to make them very smooth.
I only added the holes for the earrings, she wanted to use her own wires for it
the wires go through the head and the body so that they're dangling a little bit, they must be very cute when worn. I hope she's still enjoying them!Technical stuff:
Handmade by me with polymer clay after the original earring I was requested to reproduce, no molds or premades were used. The gray lines and black curls were handpainted using a tiny brush.
Suggestions and comments are always much appreciated
and I'm open for custom commissions!
