Truffle Bracelet by Talty Truffle Bracelet by Talty

| Etsy | Storenvy | Custom Commissions | Facebook | YouTube | Polymer Clay Gallery |

Available in my Storenvy: [link]

This was an idea I suddenly had and I couldn't rest until it was done ._. my idea was to make a chocolate truffle bracelet, with every truffle being different and with many techniques. It is less realistic than my usual work, but it makes up for it in being colorful and fun! It's fun to try different styles :) I also thought this rainbow crystal bead spacers were perfect for it, they make it look so shiny and brought everything together!

The first photo shows how it looks glazed, I decided to glaze it because I thought it would look better. I'm not so sure anymore, I prefer things un-glazed (like in the two bottom photos) but I know a lot of people prefer the glazed look. Oh well

Even tho it was fun to make I had no intention in keeping it, so it's up for sale in my Storenvy. I am liking Storenvy so far, so I've been putting a lot more of my work in there than I ever put on Etsy. Please pay it a visit in case you find something interesting! :) I'm listing things almost daily. One of the things I love is that you don't need to make an account to buy things, you can log in with your Facebook account making it so much more convenient! :la:

I think the price is quite cheap, considering that they're 12 chocolates you're only paying $3.33 for each one x.x oh well if it doesn't sell I'm taking it apart and selling the chocolates individually. I don't ever plan to do this again so this will be completely OOAK, if I ever do something similar I plan to do the chocolates completely different. The bracelet is 21 cm/8.3 in in diameter.

Technical stuff: All laboriously made out of polymer clay by me, no molds or premades are ever used! Some of the shapes were cut using tiny cutters. Glazed for a shiny finish.

The bracelet looks very nice with the beads in between
And one question, that conffeti (or whatever you call it) on a truffle on the left, did you also make it? Or is it real one? ^^

Yep I would love too! I actually prefer making cake slices because I enjoy making the texture, but I also want to try making more full and layered cakes :D

Nop, it is not expensive at all if you consider all the time and work I invested in it, besides as I said it consists of 12 completely different pieces so you are barely paying $3.33 for each one. I actually think that it is very cheap.

Just a little advice, think it a little bit better before you tell a crafter that their work is too expensive, it is quite offensive telling someone that their work is not worth it. I understand if you're not willing to pay for it, but it doesn't mean that it is expensive.

i made this things too.. xD there are some things when I started on my deviantart (horrible i know, now is a little better xD), because a friend wanted to upload it, and although I do not like you as much detail is quite similar, although I recognize that you have other pieces much more impressive:3 But I still think $ 40 for a wristband is very expensive .. xD and $ 3 for one piece is still very expensive. We are in crisis!

I have to agree with you -- for these truffles I prefer the unglazed look. It gives the look of a real chocolate texture. But either way, it is a beautiful bracelet. :]

This is such a cute idea! And you pulled it off so marvelously. I love how each individual chocolate is unique and special. :aww: I hope that it sells because it is too beautiful and exquisite for you to take it apart and sell the little chocolate charms off individually! That would be a shame. If I could scrounge up the money (and if I wore bracelets...sadly, I don't wear much jewelry... :( ) I would buy it just to prevent that fate from happening to it. :noes: As for glazed vs. unglazed...I think they both work well for this piece. I actually prefer the unglazed on this one a tiny bit more, but the glazed one *is* shiny, and shiny is always good... :D

I'm glad that you liked it so much! :D I agree, it would be sad to take it apart but it would be a waste to keep it if it doesn't sell... it's not easy x.x still I'm so glad that you would buy it, you don't have to but the intention is what counts

You're welcome. :meow: And that is true...I don't know if I would have the heart to dismantle it, though, if it were me. I'm sentimental like that or something. I even hate throwing broken things away 'cause I feel kind of bad for the thing, even though it's broken. I'm weird like that. :dummy: But I hope it won't come down to that. Fingers crossed.

Beautiful work Talty, this is so lovely! High quality chocolate often has that extra shine, especially in hot weather, so I have no preference on gloss or not, I think it looks great both ways. The sparkly spacers give an 'evening wear' feel to it I think - they're lovely!

We have a tourist attraction chocolate factory about 30 minutes drive from our house. They make very high quality individual chocolate 'truffles' - they cost $1.20 each (not that this means much to anyone outside of Australia, but the large mars bar or kitkat sized bars cost $1.70 in a supermarket). The factory are very proud of their high gloss, particularly on the dark chocolate. From their website... "Enjoy the depth of colour, the sheen and gloss of the chocolate. Dark chocolate has a deep, warm colour. The lighter the cocoa, the finer the flavour"
