Members are more than welcome to self suggest their own art work for a Daily Deviation, in fact many CVs highly encourage self suggestions.  While self suggesting may have been something people frowned upon in the past, this is thankfully no longer the case as we all recognize the need for self promotion in the competitive world of art.
But suggesting my own work is embarassing
There is no shame in trying to get yourself and your work seen.  By self suggesting you are merely looking to gain more exposure from a broader audience. Look at it this way, if you're not willing to advertise your own work and get more clients and exposure, who will?
When we CVs receive self suggestions we treat them the same as we would any other suggestion so you can easily treat a self suggestion the same as you would a submission of your art to a group so more users can see the piece.  While we do not guarantee that we

While not everyone uses preview images and they're not technically part of the work, we're going to require that preview images be properly credited for future features. This does include preview images you've customized that use texture or other such resources.
An important note: Not all images are stock. If an image isn't stock and you want to use it as your preview, please make sure that you've obtained explicit permission from the artist. We will also accept previewed stories that were done for a picture-based prompt if the prompter asked permission to use those images. Of course, you'll need to link to the prompt in your comments.

What is epilepsy though?
Epilepsy is defined as a medical condition that produces seizures affecting a variety of mental and physical functions. Normal brain function is made possible by millions of tiny electrical charges passing between nerve cells in the brain and to all parts of the body. When someone has epilepsy, this normal pattern may be interrupted by intermittent bursts of electrical energy that are much more intense than usual.

A Note on Daily Deviation FeaturesAt ten features into my tenure as Community Volunteer for Abstract & Surreal Photography I am noticing a certain trend in response to abstract and surreal Daily Deviations. I declined 2 photomanip suggestions today aloneNOTE: I am talking about premades and cut-outs here, not ALL stock. And, not all premades and cut-outs are "bad." Just be careful!
I declined 2 photomanip DD suggestions today because the artists used stock (1 used a premade background and 1 used a cut-out psd file) from stock artists who did not say where their original sources came from.
These were really good suggestions, too, from amazing artists who truly deserve DDs. One of them has never had a DD before.
What am I ranting about now?
As an example, let's say you use an ivy psd file for your work. You need to know that the stock artist himself/herself took the picture of the ivy or that it comes from another legitimate source. Too many people pull images off of Google and cut them out to make "psd stock." So, if the stock artist doesn't say where they got the picture they used from, I would recommend not using it.
Likewise, a lot of people take stock pictures from sxc.hu or purchase them from dreamstime or shutt
