Celebrating Diversity #9

Mon Nov 5, 2012, 11:57 AM
Often we get lost in habits and do the same thing over and over again, and we forget about all the wonderful options there is out there. Celebrating Diversity is a series of articles that remind us how wide and rich the art world is and of the variety of options available on deviantART.

I have to admit, I'm guilty of not browsing all of the galleries as much as I should. I love the Artisan Crafts world and I often get lost in its galleries and forget about the rest, so this time I went through all of the galleries looking for awesome art for this article, and I discovered forms of art I didn't even know about! It was a fantastic experience and I hope this series of articles will encourage you to do the same.

She always fell for boys who needed saving. She always fell for boys who needed saving.
Giving them kisses in the dark
to numb their headache from
drinking too much and yet
not enough to kill lust.
She was always adored by boys, who,
if given the chance, would rebuild
the world for her.
But she wanted to be the heroine
and refused to see
she needed saving, too.
:thumb331133297: TearsFeel the rain dripping on your face
Sitting somewhere in an unknown place
You might just had your heart broken
Those feelings of yours go unspoken
Let the rain wash your pain away
Let it wash away and find your way
Let the rain slowly heal your wounds
It heals your heart and will hide your wounds
The rain will stay with you for years
It's one of those things that always cares
Because in the rain nobody will see your tears

"If man is to survive, he will have learned to take a delight in the essential differences between men and between cultures. He will learn that differences in ideas and attitudes are a delight, part of life's exciting variety, not something to fear."
- Gene Roddenberry

A celebration and believing that there's art everywhere.

Yup - you should ask Damien for fractal suggestions :giggle: He's the Fractal CV after all - or you could ask me  I can make amazing picks once in a while and I tend to pick stuff that is amazing but hasn'T all that many views because it's older ^^ - Older parts of ones Gallery deserve love too...

I wonder if that could make for an extra weekly feature or maybe monthly. Like featuring a few deviations that have been on dA at least 2 Years but haven't got a lot of attention yet ^^

If I was CV I'd probably set this project up - now I need to ask one of you folks to probably consider it ^^

Very nice feature <3
From time to time, I take a look at other galleries like Cartoons & Comics, Anthro or Design & Interfaces.
But there are just to many galleries and of course you end up at your favourite gallery.
A nice way to discover a gallery is the Way Back option. Select a random date and take a look at the most popular works of this date.
