Crazy Crafts III: tweebearsI can't live with all this cuteness! I see miniatures all the time (seriously, stop me, it's an obsession) but these tiny bears are among the best miniatures I've ever seen! They're needle felted, the face details are sewn and somehow this amazing deviant makes them posable! I can't believe how tiny they are... I hope that you'll like them as much as I do. Once in a while, I stumble upon a craft so original that it doesn't fit into the usual Artisan Crafts sub-categories. It most often is found under "Other". Of course, this does not mean that it doesn't deserve as much love as a yummy fondant cake or an intricate piece of jewellery It just means that most times this piece is outside of the usual spotlight.
This article is an homage to some of these crafts that are usually unseen and unrecognised I hope you will find something here that you never knew existed and that it will stir up some creative feelings within you.

Not So Traditional Tuesdays #11Sorry about this being a day late! I was out half of the day yesterday, and lost track of time while painting for the rest of it.
This little feature is now into the double digits of editions . This wasn't something I that had I planned on doing. Originally this was just a one off article because I was bored one day, and started typing in random search words. It is still fun to do though, so I think it will keep going until it no longer is.
I like to think that the things that make one piece of art great applies, for the most part, to other genres. A painter can learn how light and shadow fall from photography, photo-manipulators can learn about composition from a great Manga drawing, and literature can give you the inspiration to try something new or take your work to the next step. You may never try all art forms you see! You can however take what you learn from them and incorporate that into your own work. It could be the difference between stagnating and tha

Crazy Crafts IV: ilkela

Sometimes, someone's work is so out of the ordinary and unique that I can't help but stare at it, sit back, let it sink in, and wonder where I can get some of that inspiration. That is the case with ~ilkela's work, I think that she owns one of the most eclectic and unique galleries I've seen around, it is incredible to see someone mastering so many different crafts. I hope you'll like it as much as I do!
