I lost my hat

I think I dropped it somewhere but I can't find it...

So today was my last day as a CV XD I was actually sadder than I would like to admit. I really don't like endings, I'm aware this is not really an ending since I'm RIGHT HERE and not much has changed, but you can't argue with a sad heart v.v and yes I will remain the same, I love DA and I love the Artisan Crafts community, you won't see much change except that I won't be featuring DDs anymore (I hope people won't forget about me now that I'm less cool without the fancy hat).

This last year was absolutely fantastic and intoxicating. Some nights I fed on your enthusiasm and creative juices alone. I had several goals but the most rewarding one ended up being meeting as many of you as I could. I realized that in order to represent and serve the Artisan Crafts community I had to know the Artisan Crafts community, so I made it my goal to meet, talk, know, and learn as much as I could from you. This was the single most time consuming thing I did, I spent as much time as I could answering comments and questions, looking for new artists, giving feedback, looking for things to feature, thinking of new ideas and contests, browsing your galleries to know what you were doing, and so on. I'm proud to announce that of all the things I did, this is the one in which I was most successful and I noticed a big difference in how involved all of you were overtime. Just a few months ago we received a lot of suggestions and feedback for the Gallery Makeover Project, and while overwhelming it was EXACTLY what we wanted. I believe that it's because you all felt closer to us and more involved in the decision making (please tell me if I'm right).

I made a lot lot lot lot lot new friends, I hope you consider me your friend as well

In this year I was lucky to share my term first with UnicornReality and FrockTarts, which were incredibly patient with poor newbie me. Later I was alone for a month (OMG it was awful). I was really happy when maytel joined me and later cakecrumbs, I hope that you'll continue to support them and send them millions of DD suggestions (I will, I'm sure they're trembling). In this year we had two projecteducate weeks, one month at ArtHistoryProject, the creation of CRArtisanCrafts, awesome monthly challenges, lots of contests (don't forget that you have until the 20th to join the Get Crafty Contest), the gallery description project, the gallery makeover project, lots of news articles, lots of features, tips, and more. I loved it all and I hope you did too!

For my last DD I decided to feature one of the most promising new polymer clay artists in DA, to me it makes perfect sense given that polymer clay food is what brought me to DA in the first place She's really new and extremely talented, she definitely deserves more attention.
