Uncommon CraftsUncommon Artisan Crafts
Once in a while, I stumble upon a craft so original that it doesn't fit into the usual Artisan Crafts sub-categories. It most often is found under "Other". Of course, this does not mean that it doesn't deserve as much love as a yummy fondant cake or an intricate piece of jewellery It just means that most times this piece is outside of the usual spotlight.
This article is an homage to some of these crafts that are usually unseen and unrecognised I hope you will find something here that you never knew existed and that it will stir up some creative feelings within you.

PE: Stock, Resources and deviantART RelatedStock & Resources
I see Stock & Resources as a category of art on deviantART where the entire focus is on helping others and providing them with what they need. This helps artists of any medium! Photomanipulators for example rely heavily on the stock photos they find here. If you draw or paint, digitally or traditionally, many stock photos can be hugely helpful as reference, as can line art and textures. There's literature templates, fonts, fractal and vector resources, designs & patterns for artisans and crafters.. and then there's tutorials for any kind of art, and about deviantART itself.
So one great way to contribute something to the community and your fellow artists is to provide such resources!
We will not go into this in depth as it has its own Community Volunteers and Project Educate weeks that should help you get started!

Not many types of art can claim to be as nourishing for your soul as they are for your body. Culinary arts is appreciated by everyone in the world because it is highly linked with our survival. Also, if you think about it, it is one of the most accessible forms of art around. You probably even subconsciously practised Culinary Arts several times without knowing it.

Stereoscopy is a very technical art form. While there are lots of opportunities to be creative, there's also a lot of lingo and technical terms floating around.

Accidental stereo effects
This is a strange effect that you notice when you create a stereographic photo which has repeating pattens in it. It happens because the pattern isn't 100% perfectly identical all the way along, and the slight differences in shape cause it to appear as if it's in a different place from the parts of the image around it. Postage stamps, wallpaper and other things with patterns tend to cause this effect.
Accommodation
Accommodation is when the eye refocuses from one object to another when your vision shifts (like looking through a window on a rainy day, you can focus on the raindrops clinging to the glass, or on the landscape outside).

And it is a wrap! We made it and filled all the letters with wonderful crafts, you all did a great job and once again proved that the artisan crafts community is wonderful

W stands for Weaving

Weaving is the traditional method of creating fabric by interlacing threads or yarn until it becomes a cloth, it usually refers to the traditional method of weaving with an horizontal loom, which has been estimated to exist since around 5000 BC. Weaving was powered by human strength for years, until the introduction of steam power which made the production of fabric much faster. Weaving is rare nowadays, but the fabrics that can be made with it are gorgeous and high quality.

W stands for Wire Crochet

You can crochet thin wire as you usually would do with yarn. This way, you can create beautiful jewelry by crocheting wire and adding some beads. Added by *digikijo.

Invader Zim is a cartoon created by Jhonen Vasquez about an alien who his too incompetent to conquer Earth. It takes place in an exaggerated and obscure version of our own planet. It was aired in Nickelodeon and despite being canceled after just a few episodes, it has a large following even after 12 years. Added by =Brookette.

Z stands for Zebra

The Zebra is an equid from Africa with a white and black stripped pattern, the pattern is unique to each individual as much as we all have different finger prints. Zebras have some fans in the crafting community, and the pattern is also popular as decoration or clothing. Added by =Brookette.
