You open up the package, look at the factory paint job and just can't help but feel a little disappointed by the finish. The lack of finesse. The way it looks so little like the character or the actor it's based on.
Many deviants take to customising dolls to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. It might mean changing the hair, or the clothes, or the accessories. But the most amazing transformations usually happen with complete repaints of the face. Static features are replaced with dynamic ones. New levels of realism, fantasy, beauty and creativity breathe new life into old plastic.

New Bobini Head Preview! Blast from the Past...I mentioned in my journal a few days ago that I was working on a new head pattern to make my Bobinies more like their illustrative counterparts with their noses and more rounded cat-like heads, and this morning I nailed it.

Thank you Talty!As some of you might know, today was `Talty's last day as a CV. So I wanted to take a moment to celebrate all she has achieved for our 'little' Artisan Crafts community, and ask you join me in thanking her for all her hard work.
I, like many of you, know my dA experience would have been very different if not in part for `Talty's hard work. She (along with ^maytel) found me when I was an obscure newbie and sought to expose me and my gallery to the wider community through a Daily Deviation and numerous features. Her words of encouragement, support and her actions helped me to grow as an artist, and helped me be recognised for it. This is a story I share with many of you for whom she has done all she can to help and bring exposure to.

And so we close this wonderful artisan crafts week. Thank you so much for reading our articles, commenting, and being a part of this whole week. We are specially grateful to all the kind people that helped us put together another amazing ABC, our third one! It was a wonderful community effort, and once again proved that the artisan crafts community is simply amazing

it was fantastic to learn from your experience too!

Don't forget that the Circus Contest will run until March 11th, we would love to see many entries!

Please let us know what would you like to see next, ^maytel and I are always eager to know what can be done to improve the gallery and its community
