Talty's Artisan Crafts DD GuidelinesHello everyone! Remember to send me and ^maytel lots of Artisan Crafts DD suggestions, we love them! ^^ Artisan Crafts week at #projecteducate is quickly approaching, so if you have any suggestions or things that you would like to see, let us know!
Here's my guidelines for suggesting DDs to me, if I ever reject your submission please don't be discouraged and keep sending me more! It's impossible to accept all suggestions, specially when I already have enough suggestions for one area. Also don't forget that these are guidelines, not rules.

Today it is a short journal without photos, sorry.
I would like to give you one important advice, so I hope it can be still useful ;)
I see many people try to sell prints here. And they are often sad they have not sold anything yet.
But at the same time I see they do the same mistake. So:
HOW PEOPLE TRY TO SELL THEIR WORK AS A PRINT?
1. you took a photo (drew a picture). It is nice, so you want to post it as a deviation.
2. you edit it. Making it sharper, more colourful, adding contrast, CHANGING a size to some 850x600px, for example.
3. you post it as a deviation.
4. you look at your deviation and think "hm, it looks pretty cool! Maybe somebody can buy it. I will allow it as a print."
5. you click at "submit as a print" and in "print submission" option you just scroll down and click at "SUBMIT AS A PRINT".
6. now deviation in your gallery has that cool "buy this print" green button and you are excited about somebody buying it.
7. you are disappointed that nobody bought it.

One epic Journey needs your helpI rarely write to promote others efforts in raising money for charity. It's because there are so many out there, that to promote each time I come across one would be ongoing forevermore. However there is one particular cause that I would like to direct your attentions to today.
A friend from my college days is cycling unaided from Lands End to John o' Groats in June of this year. That's basically from the bottom of the UK, to the top. He's doing it for a very special charity based here in the UK called Naomi House. And why? Because in 2008 his newborn niece unfortunately died - but Naomi House were there to make her last few days as comfortable as possible. Naomi House provides respite to sick children with life limiting illnesses - and their families. It keeps a family together until the last possible moment.
I urge you today,  not to donate. It would be nice if you can, but that's not entirely why I am writing about this. But I urge you more than anything else to spread the

Asking for PointsEvery now and then, someone I don't know posts a comment on my profile page asking me to give them Points. Very occasionally, the request is of an I'm collecting for a Premium Membership/print/whatever and was wondering if you wouldn't mind donating a few Points to help me reach my goal nature but more often than not, it's just Will you give me Points? or something to that effect. I've actually had one comment saying simply POINTS PLEASE.
To be honest, when it's the first type of request and it isn't just a copy-pasta to a hundred people, I'll consider it. I like to help people have a better dA experience and not everyone can afford to buy a Premium Membership, so if someone asks really nicely for a bit of assistance, I'm usually happy to help if I can. But when it's the second kind of request, it's just rude. Asking strangers to give you things isn't polite, and it's even worse when you can't be bothered to explain why you're asking someone to give you something t
Spirit Day Artisan CraftsToday, October 19th 2012 is Spirit Day! Spirit Day started on 2010 as a homage to the LGBT people that lost their lives or committed suicide due to bullying they suffered, and while the main focus is still on the LGBT community it's now a day to take actions against bullying. No one should have to endure bullying, ever.

The original idea behind dolls (and why they're called dolls in the first place) comes from the cut-out paper dolls - a paper cut-out of a figure (typically in underwear) with separate clothes that hold onto the figure with folding tabs.
The first popular version of virtual 'paper dolls' was through a Japanese program called KiSS (Kisekae Set System), dating back to 1991. Originally they were the same as paper dolls - only on the computer. A base figure, or template, had different sets of clothes to drag and drop onto the template. Using layers, they were able to create an illusion of depth not possible with paper dolls (for example - a figure with their hands in front of them would have different layers, making it easy to have a sleeve in front of the chest, a bag, arm-warmers, or other accessories).

How the mature content filter works

Personal Corner:
I started my online courses for medical coding and billing today. I've only completed the orientation bit but so far I am hopeful that this is actually going to work out. I was less than enthusiastic because online courses and me have not always gotten along in the past. But the site is set up in an easy to navigate manner and includes all sorts of great tools. Plus it is a pretty low-stress program. You can retake tests and quizzes until you get the answer right and work at your own pace and it just seems like something made for me. :nod: Well worth the $175 investment. Tomorrow I start the actual coursework. Looking forward to making my brain work again!
Job hunting has continued to be majorly disappointing. So many of these businesses want you to put in online applications, but then they never get back to you

I was just informed earlier today that my work was featured in a newspaper from Austria yesterday, Friday 15th. I WANT THAT NEWSPAPER. I NEED THAT NEWSPAPER. I was told it was a small article but it doesn't matter, it's the first time I'm published so I want to own it :la: Edit: I don't know which newspaper was it! All I know is that it's from Austria and the date.

So here's what we're going to do. FIND ME THAT NEWSPAPER! Cut the article, put it in an envelope with some cardboard and send it to me. In exchange I will give you a $20 giftcard from for my store, you can pick whatever you want. I don't know how expensive the shipping to Mexico is so if it's more expensive than $10 send me the receipts and I will give you more store credit. I want you to receive double the value from me than you spend.
