Every month, we will introduce a kind of food to you. There will be a couple of examples as inspirations to get your creativity flowing. All submissions will be added in this journal. In the end of the month, all the featured entries will be posted in a custom box in our homepage for� another month.
We highly encourage you to give a try on the themes; as well as sharing your ideas will all the members in the group. Don't hesitate to tell us what you think about the project and share your experiences with us!

The ABC of CraftsWhat this is about: There is seemingly a million crafts, and little by little we are building up a sort of encyclopedia of crafts. However, it's impossible for a couple of people to know them all... here's where you come in. We want to make this a community effort, please help us with your knowledge to make this happen! Dia de los Muertos Artisan Crafts FeatureAs with the Halloween feature I made, I'm a bit late... but I still think that any time is time for good art!
Some of you already know that I'm mexican and proud, and Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a very important tradition for me. While it is also celebrated in other parts of Latin America I am only familiar with the traditions we have here, so I'm really sorry for not being able to represent everyone

But feel free to leave me a comment with your own traditions, I would love to read about them

In case anyone is interested some years ago I published a more or less detailed explanation on ofrendas (offerings) complete with photos. Also, I shall warn you that I consider myself a purist, and while I appreciate everyone's efforts to make art inspired by Dia de los Muertos there's some things that simply don't go with the spirit of this date, and I won't include them in this feature... for exa
