This was a gift for a Secret Santa I participated in, I was so excited when I saw who I got  each of us wrote down three colors and three things we like, I had to work with "owls, photography, autumn" and "blue, orange, green". So I tried to incorporate all the colors as best as I could, and go for an owl with an autumn-y feeling. The only thing I never figured out was the photography

I used a 2.5 cm (1 inch) metal blank, made a layer of sparkly blue polymer clay (this clay makes me think of a starry sky) and tried my hand at polymer clay embroidery. I've always loved polymer clay embroidery! I sort of tried to figure it out on my own, the only tutorial I saw was this one. I attempted to make the flowers as delicate as I could. They're so small :noes: Then I added micro beads to make it more interesting... micro beads x.x every time I use them I swear it will be the last time, they're about 1 mm each and I have to place them one by one using tweezers... it's so time consuming and tiring! But I love the way they look, so I always end up using them again :D Then I sculpted the owl, tried to give it a realistic texture, and failed at figuring out how to make the feet :( they're decent, but I have no idea how to make them look more realistic without looking menacing. Well, they're cute, and cute is never a failure!

I topped the flowers and micro beads with a layer of glaze to seal the beads in. The glaze flattened out the flowers slightly and made them look less delicate, or maybe that's just the way I perceived it x.x my hubby said they're still so tiny and perfect. ANYWAY IT'S SHINY!

I recently started making my own necklaces, so I put together a simple necklace with a pretty chain I bought. I got these fancy gift boxes (they're shiny too!) and I thought it looked amazing inside the box, so professional XD so I took the photo like that.  The box is quite sturdy, which was perfect for shipping over seas :) and I think that's pretty much everything :dummy:

Comments and feedback are much appreciated :flirty: I will try to answer any questions you may have. I have a lot of tutorials in DA and YouTube, so feel free to check them out!

Technical stuff: I used polymer clay, no mods, no templates, no pre-mades, 100% handmade. No paint, except for the eyes. I got the microbeads and the blank from ebay, the necklace was made by me with materials I purchased locally. The pendant was 2.5 cm (1 inch) tall, the owl was about 1.5 cm tall.

Awesome design.  I love how the orange flowers make it pop.
